How to watch the F1 Mexico City Grand Prix: stream it live from the US in Spanish

The Mexico City Grand Prix streams live in the US only on Apple TV, with lights out at 3 p.m. ET (noon PT) on Sunday, November 1. Every Formula 1 event in the app comes with a Spanish commentary option, so you can follow the race in either language.

The 71-lap race starts at 2 p.m. local time at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, according to Formula 1. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. that same Sunday, so double-check any schedule that still lists a 4 p.m. ET start. Here’s when lights out hits your clock:

One app, two languages

Apple TV has been the exclusive home of F1 in the US since the 2026 season began, and watching the race live requires an Apple TV subscription. That subscription also includes F1 TV Premium at no extra cost, according to F1.

To switch languages, Apple’s support page says you can pick a different commentary language when you hit Watch Live, or change the audio track during the broadcast. All events carry both English and Spanish commentary.

The app runs on iPhone, Android, Roku, smart TVs and the web, among other devices, so you don’t need an Apple device to watch.

Not on Univision or ESPN this time

If you’re flipping through cable channels on Sunday, you won’t find this race. ESPN’s run as the US home of F1 ended with the 2025 season.

Univision does have a Formula 1 race this year, but it’s a different one: TelevisaUnivision will simulcast the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Saturday, November 21, with its own pre- and post-race shows.

And the free Yahoo Sports streams that cover practice and qualifying stop there. They don’t include the race.

What you can follow for free

If you can’t watch the video, Apple Music carries free live audio broadcasts of every race, and the free Apple Sports app on iPhone shows live leaderboards and standings.

There’s plenty to follow. Sergio “Checo” Pérez is set to make his 300th Grand Prix start in front of his home crowd, days after Cadillac extended his contract through 2029, Sky Sports reported. At the front, Kimi Antonelli arrives on the brink of the Drivers’ title, with F1 noting that George Russell and Lewis Hamilton both need to win this weekend to keep their hopes alive.

Open the Apple TV app before 3 p.m. ET, and switch the audio track before the formation lap starts.
