Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share their romantic side at the 2025 Invictus Games

The 2025 Invictus Games brought out a side of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that had everyone talking. Harry, the founder of the Games in 2014, describes the event as “not just a competition,” but “a way of life” and “a celebration of the human spirit.” As the youngest son of King Charles, Harry sees the Games as a platform to showcase the strength, resilience, and incredible ability of wounded veterans to overcome adversity.

During this unforgettable event, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted showing their natural, affectionate sides, as they mingled with the participants from the American delegation. From hugging to sharing lighthearted dances and conversations, their warmth was contagious.

Accompanied by Meghan, a beaming Harry presided over the event, one that is especially close to his heart. As the creator and driving force behind the Invictus Games, it was a moment of pure joy for him to witness the Games, held at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, come to life. The event not only featured athletes from 25 countries but also included electrifying performances by global superstars like Coldplay’s lead singer, Noah Kahan, Roxane Bruneau, Chris Martin, Katy Perry, and Nelly Furtado, adding to the event’s vibrant atmosphere.

The Invictus Games, which runs from February 8 to 16, is a special gathering for veterans who have been injured in combat. This year, the event marks a return to Canada for the first time since 2017, with athletes competing in six new winter sports, such as alpine skiing, snowboarding, and wheelchair curling. The Games are now classified as the first Winter Hybrid Games and will take place not only in Vancouver but also in the beautiful city of Whistler.

In his opening speech, Harry made a heartfelt statement about the power of the Invictus Games: “In the last decade, I’ve lost count of how many times people have told me the Games saved them. With all due respect, I disagree. It wasn’t the Games that saved you – it was you who saved yourself. You fought through doubt and despair, you reached the top, and you kept going when you thought you had nothing left.”

Colombia was the only Spanish-speaking country to participate in these games.

Amid all the laughter, selfies, and hugs, the Duke and Duchess showed that their love for each other is stronger than ever. Just months after rumors of a rough patch due to their more private public appearances, they have proven that their bond is unbreakable. And despite both of them having independent schedules, it’s clear they continue to share deep affection and support for one another.

The couple’s return to Canada holds special meaning, as it was here where their romance began nearly nine years ago. At the time, Meghan lived in Toronto and Harry in London, starting a secret relationship that would eventually lead to their royal wedding, their decision to step back from royal duties in 2020, and the birth of their two beautiful children in California.

Join us in celebrating the incredible spirit of the Invictus Games. Let’s honor the bravery of the competitors, the heartwarming moments of the event, and the power of human. 🥇
