As is tradition around this time of year, the SheBelieves Cup returns, an international friendly women’s soccer tournament organized by the United States Soccer Federation.
It has been played since 2016 and each year invites four national teams to compete in a round-robin format (each team plays each other three times).

📍 Host cities in the USA: Nashville (Tennessee), Columbus (Ohio), and Harrison (New Jersey)
It is a tournament with very strong opponents that serves as preparation for major competitions such as the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Brazil from June 24 to July 25, 2027, becoming the first Women’s World Cup in South America. ⚽

This year, we’ll see four top women’s national teams invited to participate in the 2026 SheBelieves Cup.
🇺🇸 United States – Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT)
Profile: One of the most storied and successful teams in women’s soccer worldwide.
They have won four FIFA Women’s World Cups (1991, 1999, 2015, 2019) and multiple Olympic medals and regional titles.
The team has traditionally been considered the strongest in the world, with a large core of internationally renowned players.
Key points: Historically dominated by opposing teams; for example, they have a very favorable record against Canada and other CONCACAF teams.
Their participation in the SheBelieves Cup is regular: they have won most editions.

Argentina women’s national football team
Profile: The Argentine national team is also establishing itself on the world stage.
Argentina has competed in several editions of the Copa América Femenina and World Cups, and is in a phase of competitive growth in South America alongside Brazil and Colombia.
In the context of the tournament:
This will be its second appearance in the SheBelieves Cup (the first was in 2021).
