Jon Bon Jovi and Pitbull have officially announced a musical collaboration: a song called “Now or Never,” which is essentially a remix of Bon Jovi‘s classic song “It’s My Life.
”The remix is set to drop on November 14, the same day as the 25th annual Latin Grammy Awards, where both Pitbull and Jon Bon Jovi have been announced as performers.
According to a press release, Pitbull and BON JOVI frontman and founding member Jon Bon Jovi struck up a friendship after initially meeting at the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017. Since then, they notably hit the stage at the Hollywood Bowl together for a duet of “Thank God & Jimmy Buffett” during Keep The Party Going: A Tribute To Jimmy Buffett this Spring. In September, Jon Bon Jovi also surprised a packed house at the Jones Beach stop of Pitbull’s Party After Dark Tour when he rolled through to cover “It’s My Life” with “Mr. Worldwide” live for the very first time.
Tapping into the same spirit, they re-up, recharge, and reignite “It’s My Life” with “Now Or Never.”
The track’s instantly recognizable riff and chantable chorus ring out as powerfully as ever. However, Pitbull pulls up with fiery and fresh rhymes punctuated by affirmations like, “Me I am a man of my word, and I live it” and “Just live your life like Frank Sinatra your way and have no fear.”
The accompanying music video captures their now-historic joint performance at Jones Beach, New York. The visual flaunts no shortage of high-octane action, stunning choreography, and the explosive chemistry between two of music’s most influential forces.
Capping off an unforgettable year and gearing up for 2025, Pitbull, will return to Las Vegas with a brand new residency, “Pitbull: Vegas After Dark The Residency,” at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the newest luxury resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip. “Mr. 305” will take the stage at BleauLive Theater for eight high-energy shows beginning Friday, Nov. 8, 2024.
