November just got crowded for PlayStation players. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, and the PlayStation Store’s Black Friday sale, which starts November 4, has some discounts that end on November 20. That leaves one day between the biggest game of the year and the first deadline of the sale.
Sony laid out the calendar in a PlayStation Blog post on November 3. The sale opens Wednesday, November 4, at midnight PT (3 a.m. ET), with discounts of up to 75% on games, expansions and add-ons for PS5, PS4 and PS VR2.
Two waves, three dates
The sale is not one long stretch. Sony says the deals refresh on November 16, and certain discounts end on November 20 at 11:59 p.m. PT, before the promotion wraps up on November 30.
Sony has not named the discounted games yet. The full list appears on the PlayStation Store’s Black Friday page once the sale goes live, and percentages can change by region, so check the product page before you pay.
Where GTA 6 fits in
Rockstar’s own calendar runs right through that window. According to the publisher’s June press release, GTA 6 costs $79.99, or $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Digital pre-orders can start pre-loading on November 12, a week before launch. The boxed version holds a download code, not a disc, and reaches stores that same day so buyers can pre-load too.
There is also a bonus with a deadline. Pre-orders and purchases made before November 20 include the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders add a free month of GTA+.
That puts November 19 and 20 on the same page: GTA 6 arrives, the bonus window closes, and some PlayStation Store deals expire.
How to plan the month
If GTA 6 is the one purchase you know you will make, the $79.99 price is set, so the open question is the rest of your list. The first wave of PlayStation Store deals runs before launch, which gives you time to pick up older games or add-ons while you wait.
After November 16, the refreshed deals arrive, and Black Friday itself lands on November 27. The promotion as a whole runs through November 30, though Sony notes some deals will be swapped for new ones.
Before the pre-load starts, make room on your console. Rockstar has not shared the file size yet.
