The Epic Games Store, creator of one of the biggest online games, “Fortnite,” has grown exponentially, so much so that it’s entering a complete upgrade phase for 2026. This year, the platform will focus on launching features that the community has been requesting for some time, starting with a complete rebuild of its launcher. The goal is simple but powerful, faster loading times, greater stability, and much smoother navigation something that should be noticeable from the first click when the improvements arrive this summer. 🎮

One of the biggest changes is in the social aspect. Epic is creating new community spaces within the store, improving cross-platform chat with personalized profiles, avatars, and private messages. Furthermore, the social ecosystem will continue to grow with voice chat and separate groups for each game, making the gaming experience more connected and collaborative. 🖥️
Another interesting move blends marketing and gamer culture. Epic will launch a program where purchasing certain games will grant exclusive in-game rewards within Fortnite, including special cosmetics and avatars. Among the first partner studios are giants like Capcom, miHoYo, Pearl Abyss, S-Game, MintRocket, and Kakao Games, pointing to some pretty powerful collaborations in the coming months. 🌍
Cross platform expansion will also be part of this new phase. This fall, a shared library between PC and mobile will arrive, along with regional stores that will make it easier to discover games tailored to each market. Meanwhile, the mobile experience will continue to evolve with improvements to library management, expansion to new countries, and self publishing tools for developers.📱
Epic Games wants to go further and build a more open, fair, and connected gaming market. And if the improvements planned for 2026 deliver on their promises, the experience of playing, discovering, and sharing video games could change faster than many expect.
