Starting November 26, Netflix kicks off the fifth and final season of its iconic sci-fi hit, and it’s going out with a bang.
Fans have been waiting since May 2022, and the wait is almost over. Season 5 will drop in three parts, beginning November 26, followed by more episodes on December 25, and an epic two hour finale premiering both on Netflix and in theaters December 31.
On October 30, Netflix gave fans a massive treat, a nearly three-minute trailer that brought chills, nostalgia, and chaos all at once. Set in the late 1980s in Hawkins, Indiana, the trailer shows our favorite crew still dealing with the fallout from Season 4’s battle with Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), and it looks like things are only getting darker.
The gang is back, armed and ready to finish what they started. Between explosions, eerie slow-motion shots, and an epic remix of Queen’s “Who Wants to Live Forever”, it’s clear this is Stranger Things on a whole new level.
“The magic of the series has always been about these characters we love, even as the world around them gets wilder,” said executive producer and director Shawn Levy.
The trailer teases blood, battles, and maybe even Vecna’s terrifying return, with Will (Noah Schnapp) once again caught in the middle. According to Netflix, the story picks up in fall 1987, as Hawkins faces a military lockdown, Eleven is forced into hiding, and the group prepares for one last showdown against the darkness threatening to consume their world.
